If You're Not a Military Child
If you're not a military child
You might not know the pain
Of moving from place to place
Making new friends
Restarting your life
Over and over again
If you're not a military child
You might not know
How it feels growing up
Without a father or mother around
To be there at the times
You need them the most
For advice or more
If you're not a military child
You might know what family is
Not being able to see them often
But only every couple years
The bond between each other weakens
And Begins to fall apart
If you're not a military child
You might not know how it feels
To be forced away
To be told to do something
And have no opinion on it
If you're not a military child
Then you just don't know
How we live our lives
