Overworked, Underpaid, Miracle Worker
She leaves every morning,
The long drive to work.
She returns every evening,
Another long drive to work.
Washes clothes,
Cleans dishes,
Scrubs baths,
And no complaining.
Every morning,
Up before sunrise.
Does more by 7am
Than most do in a lifetime.
She’s fed me,
Clothed me,
And housed me.
For what?
I could thank her
Would it be enough?
I could give her the world
That’s what she gave me.
Would it be enough?
She does more by 7am ,
Than most do in a lifetime.
