Furry Butterfly
“Look, a huge, furry butterfly!”
He’s flying in to town.
We should run away
before he pins us down.
He’s fuzzy like a cat
His ears like a dog
And a tail like a big fat hog.
Little Danna did not run
She’s still playing in the sun
the hairy monster flew over her
but she giggled like it was fun
I hoped she heard my great, big scream
For that butterfly looked kind of mean
But when Danna reached up to touch it
He smiled as she tickled it.
