Clouds
I’m not really sure why,
When you look at the sky,
You see shapes in the clouds,
They come in great shrouds.
Sometimes you see animals up there,
Then you might see something that might scare,
Still when you see something cool,
You wonder if you look like a fool.
While they are moving across the sky,
These shapes may catch your eye,
But if you have no imagination,
Then you won’t get the sensation.
Now as you get older, you stop looking
In the sky for the shape of someone cooking,
You start to look at other things,
You start to look at gold rings.
But you don’t get the same feeling
As when you are stealing,
Those summer days, looking at the sky
When you noticed those clouds way up high.
So take time and look at those shapes,
Make sure you notice those grapes,
In the clouds in the sky so blue,
Just waiting there for me and you.
