The last time I saw him
He was wearing a plain white tee shirt and sweatpants,
This outfit I will never forget

He was in more pain than he could bear, me watching this was about as uncomfortable for him as it was for me

He looked rough and lay there lifeless, I just stared wondering what could possibly have happened
The last time I saw him
Was the hardest day of my entire life, he lay there motionless while everyone said their goodbyes

I told him I loved him
And that was the very last time I saw him
As we all gathered around and watched his body fade away in the ground
I cried…
