I
Stare at my
Blank sheet of paper
Wondering where to start
There is a box of Crayola’s
ReAdy to be let l o o s e
So many colors to choose
So many doodLes to draw
I’m in my very own world
There are no rules to follow
I can scribble violet ducks
Swimming in gOlden ponds
Polka-dot periwinkle puppies
Jungle-green shaded kittens
The plain, blue skY is gone
Now a shade of tickle-me-pink
The grAss can be colored blue
And the bumblebees can be too
Emptiness of the white has now
DisappeaRed--sketched away
By a vast array of every Color
It’s doodled my own way
There’s no rules to follow
I’m in my own world now
With each and every color.
