Mistakes

They haunt us all usually every day,
if they only would go away!
They are usually in my schoolwork,
but when I’m at home they also lurk.

Another day, many more of my mistakes,
I just want to hand them in and call them late!

Mistakes, mistakes, just go away!
Even if you weren’t too bad today.

Hooray, hooray, come and celebrate!
Mistakes have gone away—the ones full of hate!

Wow! What a great dream! Just let me nap!
If only the real world wouldn’t come back.
