Beyond the Magazine
Bear
When I see the polka dots
on the faded white fabric
when I hear the jingle
it increases my courage.
I am never alone.
I can face thunder and lightning storms
the wind beating the window and making the screens shiver.
The lightning illuminating the yard,
the rain pounding the roof.
And I can face it until it is over.
I see the black eyes shining,
knowing so many stories and adventures,
and seeming almost wise
The faded pink nose kissed
so many times
