Life is a cup of water
Half full? Half Empty? Who really gives a damn?
At least there is water in the cup.
What if there were no cup? There would be no water.
If there were no water, would there be anything?
Perhaps you have a cup, and water,
but only you decide what you do with it.
You could give the water to the parched plant, which is eyeing it intently.
Or you could be cruel! Smile and drink every last drop! Screw the plant!
Now, did you really need that water?
The drooping back of the leafless plant cries dry tears.
Was that glass half empty or half full now?
It was half full, and it was indeed half empty.
